TURKMENIAN EAGLE OWL

This stunning owl arrived at the Haven in September 2010. We were asked to take care of him by a falconer who had rescued him from a country park in Berkshire where he was sadly being tormented by a group of youths. The owl was obviously a captive bred bird as he had a closed ring tted to his leg. Unfortunately the owl could not be traced back to the owner as the ring number had not been registered with Defra. Thankfully he is doing really well and he has settled into the Haven nicely.

At present the owl has no name so we are running a competition with local schools to name this beautiful Turkmenian owl. You will nd the owl's new name along with the chosen school on the next information board.
