Fudge is a male javan langur. He has a shiny bright orange coat and wakes up most mornings with a 'bad hair day'! Fudge can often be seen in the middle of a 'group hug' with 'his girls'. His group consists of two female hybrid leaf monkeys Nereid and Phi. These monkeys are the result of cross breeding between two different species of leaf monkey.

At the Haven we have Rasmaya and Somer who are mother and daughter. Rasmaya was born in Germany and has lived at many zoos in Europe before settling at the Haven. She is one of the oldest monkeys we look after and she enjoys swinging around her enclosure and loves to eat apple.

Xhabu is a male Siamang gibbon and a perfect example of why we set up the Haven. His brother died at birth due to complications and unfortunately Xhabu was born with disabilities. Bog ended up at the Haven when he was removed from the breeding programme due to the lack of information related to his blood line.

Bono and Kajan are mother and daughter and came to the Haven from a zoo when Bono's partner died. This is because the zoo needed the space and resources they were using to set up a breeding pair. Bono is very laid back while cheeky daughter Kajan rules the roost often stealing food off her mother.

Hobo was the first Macaque to arrive at the Haven after being rescued by the RSPCA from someone's back garden in Dorset. Hobo's rescue became national news. He was believed to be about a year old and was initially cared for by Cricket St Thomas before arriving at the Haven.

The Marmosets used to be owned by a private collector who could no longer look after them. She wanted them to stay together and did not want them to end up in the pet trade so they came to us.

These two came to us in March 2010 and have settled in well.

These two colobus monkeys came to us in March 2010 and have settled in well. They are very inquisitive and like to explore every inch of their enclosure.

Martin started off life in Glasgow Zoo. When this Zoo closed he was sent on loan to Grangewood Zoo in Derbyshire.

Djebra is a male Red Tailed Guenon and arrived at the Haven on the 25th August 2010. In 2001 Djebra was confiscated from a private home due to being kept illegally as a pet and re-homed at Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire.

"The quality and attention to detail here, for both the animal occupants and visitors, is as good as you could find in any small to medium-sized collection in the U.K."
