XHABU'S TEA ROOM
Xhabu's (pronounced Zaboo's) Tea Room is fondly named after our very first primate at the Owl and Monkey Haven and offers a selection of cakes, sandwiches, ice creams and beverages. The Tea Room has both indoor and outside seating overlooking the monkey enclosures and surrounding grounds. There is additional seating in our conservatory which is adjacent to the under 5's 'Cheeky Monkeys' Play Area - an ideal seating area for parents wishing to relax whilst watching their 'little monkeys' play.
GIFT SHOP
Our gift shop is home to a wide range of unique owl and monkey merchandise, handmade crafts and animal adoptions. There is something for everyone and all profits from each sale go towards the development programme of Phase two, supporting the vital work we do at the Haven.
UNDER 5's PLAY AREA
The cheeky monkey's play area caters for the under 5's. Here children can play on bubble cars, trikes and springies whilst parents relax in the conservatory or decking area watching their little one's play.
OVER 5's PLAY AREA
Our brand new 'funky monkey' play area for children over the age of six is now open. like the rest of the haven, it has been constructed to the highest possible standard with three large towers connected by rope bridges and platforms. It also has slides, swings, rope ladders, see saw, stepping logs and a fireman's pole. The play area has been built opposite our Lar Gibbons and next to the langurs so they can watch you play and swing like them!!
WISE OWL LEARNING CENTRE
The Wise Owl Lodge is open to schools, groups, visitors and children's birthday parties. Click on the link below to find out further details.
TOILETS AND BABY CHANGING
Our building includes a disabled toilet and completely separate baby changing room for parents and tots.
CAR AND COACH PARKING
Our ample free car and coach park offers disabled parking and bicycle hoops. We do not allow dogs into the park but dog owners are more than welcome to walk their dogs in the adjacent field and help themselves to water via the tap attached to the workshop.
DISABLED ACCESS
We have excellent disabled facilities which has been highly praised by the UK's top Mobility magazine and many of our visitors. Wide flat pathways allow easy access and close viewing of the animals.
